Meet Dastan Karim
With a solid academic foundation in Human Resources—from bachelor’s through master’s—Dastan’s passion for recruitment, selection, and organizational culture was kindled early.
He developed real passion and serious interest in recruitment since 2018. In 2018–2022, as a hiring manager, he shaped selection decisions across multiple departments in the Oil & Gas Industry. In 2022, after starting to work in senior executive roles, recruitment became a major part of his responsibilities:
- In the Kurdistan Region & Iraq, from 2022 to 2025, he recruited and hired over 15 professionals, including key leadership roles such as HR Manager, Finance Manager, and Procurement Manager. He also built and staffed entire departments such as Customer Service and Sales.
- In Dubai, UAE, since 2024, he recruited and hired more than 20 staff members within just two months, filling diverse roles such as General Manager, Sales Manager, Head of Interior Design, Marketing & Social Media Managers, Content Creators, Property Advisors, Sales Agents, Admins, and Accountants.
- Also in Dubai in 2024, within less than a month, he successfully recruited six hard-to-fill positions for a financial services company. These roles were highly specific and had to meet the strict requirements of the UAE Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA).
- For all the recruitment activities above, he handled every step from scratch — including writing job descriptions, advertising roles, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, drafting employment contracts, negotiating roles and salaries, and overseeing onboarding.
